Viva panettone reçoit le chef Gino D’Acampo

A Meeting of Italy and Montreal Through Taste and Craftsmanship

Our Montreal workshop had the privilege of hosting a distinguished guest: Italian chef Gino D’Acampo, an emblematic figure of media gastronomy and a true television star in Great Britain.
Visiting Quebec for the filming of his international culinary show, he chose to come and discover the artisanal savoir-faire of Viva Panettone.

An Authentic and Inspiring Encounter

Behind the cameras, more than just filming took place: it was a true human and gastronomic encounter.
Curious, generous, and passionate, Gino wanted to understand every detail of our artisanal production method. He spoke at length with our founders and, of course, tasted our signature creations with contagious enthusiasm!

A Colorful Tasting Experience

On the menu for the day:

  • our signature panettone with homemade candied citrus,

  • our surprising savory version Cacio e Pepe served as a sandwich,

  • the Bec Sucré creation,

  • and our limited edition Camerise Malilot, enhanced by Quebec haskap berries and a delicate floral touch.

Each bite was an opportunity for passionate discussions about taste, textures, and the perfect balance between Italian tradition and Montreal creativity.

The Chef's Favorite

Gino D’Acampo paid particular attention to the slow fermentation, the use of local ingredients, our homemade natural sourdough, and the meticulous work of our artisans.
His verdict? He absolutely loved the Bec Sucré panettone: a bold and gourmet creation born from the fusion of Quebec flavors and the spirit of Italian tradition.
For an Italian chef to validate our interpretation of panettone is immense pride and a wonderful recognition of our entire team's work!

A Day Celebrating Quebec Craftsmanship

Beyond the filming, this visit represents a spotlight on local craftsmanship, Quebec savoir-faire, and the passion that drives every Viva Panettone creation.
It's also a reminder of our mission: to keep panettone alive all year round, by exploring new flavors, new formats, and creative collaborations.

Coming Soon to Your Screens

We extend our warm thanks to Gino D’Acampo and his team for their kindness, curiosity, and contagious joy.
Stay tuned: the broadcast date for the episode will be announced very soon.
We look forward to sharing this exceptional day with you and allowing you to relive this wonderful encounter between Montreal and Italy through your screens.
