Every panettone has a story. But some carry an even greater symbol. At Viva panettone, over the past six months, we have faced a difficult ordeal with the disaster that affected our workshop. From this period of ashes, a new creation was born: The Phoenix. A tribute to the resilience, courage, love of the craft, and our company, that drives us.
A trying time for Viva panettone
A fire can reduce months of work, energy, and passion to dust. The building adjacent to our workshop literally went up in flames on Sunday, March 30th. For over 24 hours, a hundred firefighters battled the flames from the roof of our workshop, spraying the party wall to save our building. Fortunately, there were no injuries, but our workspace had to be completely refurbished. This could have put an end to our story. But instead of giving in to fate, we chose to continue, driven by the incredible support of our customers, partners, and friends.
This incident will remain etched in our minds as a painful moment, but also as a reminder: behind every panettone, there is a team that puts its heart into its work, even in adversity.
The symbolism of The Phoenix
The phoenix, this legendary bird, rises from its ashes to soar again, stronger and brighter. We wanted to translate this symbolism into a unique creation: a panettone that embodies rebirth, perseverance, and hope.

To embody this rebirth, we chose a delicate yet bold alliance: strawberry, sour cherry, and vanilla. This is truly us: fleshy, slightly tart fruits, the sparkle of Quebec strawberries, and the roundness of vanilla; at Viva, we love vanilla!
The delicate Quebec strawberry brings a bright and tender touch, reminiscent of rediscovered moments of lightness.
The sour cherry, deeper and slightly wild, embodies the strength and passion that emerge after hardship.
Vanilla, sweet and enveloping, brings a comforting note, a common thread that unites everything in a soothing harmony.
